Overhead cranes - secrets of indoor experts
As the name suggests, overhead cranes are mainly used indoors. They are usually supported by brackets on factory walls and guide rails on load bearing beams. Bridge cranes have two modes of operation: no-load operation and floor operation. Operation is very simple and ground operation is usually chosen, using a remote control. Bridge cranes are mainly operated indoors and the hooks are usually double electric hoists, which are suitable for lifting operations in processing plants, automobile factories, metallurgy and general industrial plants.
EOT cranes are lifting equipment that is horizontally mounted above workshops, warehouses and material yards for material lifting. Bridge cranes are named because their two ends are located on tall concrete columns or metal brackets, and their shape resembles a bridge.
Bridge-type crane with both ends of the bridge directly supported on the elevated track through a running device.
Bridge cranes are divided into single-trolley and double-trolley types, and are composed of a bridge, a lifting trolley, a trolley running mechanism and electrical equipment; both ends of the bridge are located on tall concrete columns or metal supports, shaped like a bridge; the bridge is a combination of a box-section main beam and end beams, and runs longitudinally along the tracks laid on the elevated platforms on both sides, which can make full use of the space under the bridge to lift materials without being hindered by ground equipment.
