The fall arrester, also known as a speed differential, is a protective device that quickly brakes and locks a falling object within a specified distance. It is suitable for cargo hoisting, protecting ground operators and preventing damage to the hoisted object. The fall arrester utilizes the speed differential of the falling object for self-control and is designed for high-hanging, low-hanging applications.
The fall arrester utilizes the speed difference of a falling object to achieve self-control. During normal use, the safety rope freely expands and contracts with the body. The internal mechanism maintains a semi-tensioned state, freeing the operator from any sense of restraint. In the event of a fall, the safety rope's extension speed increases significantly, and the internal locking system automatically locks the device, protecting the operator from injury. Operation automatically resumes once the load is released. Upon completion of the operation, the safety rope automatically retracts into the device for easy portability.
